OBITUARY

MISS ISABELLA GRAHAM SNODGRASS. It is our sad ( duty to record the death of Miss Isabella Graham Snodgrass, which occurred at Tauranga yesterday afternoon. The late Miss Snodgrass was born in Ireland, and came with her parents to New Zealand In 1861. The family lived in Auckland until 1873 and then moved in the Wellington Hospital, where at Otumoetai.' Miss Snograss traine in the Wellington Hospital, ■ where she, spent some years nursing. Returning to. Tauranga she took over the Otumoetai farm and spent fifteen years there; On the death of her, parents she lived at Waikaraka, Te Puna,: with her brother, the late Mr Archie Snodgrass. She always had her thoughts for others, and was ever ready to assist in cases of illness and distress. With her late brother, Miss . Snodgrass was a staunch supporter of the many meets of the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Hounds in the district. For a very long period she was prominently identified, both as a' member of the Committee and as an exhibitor, in the horticultural and flowers sections of the Tauranga show. Whatever Miss Snodgrass turned her hand to was done thoroughly and her enthusiasm was always helpful to all with whom she was associated. Tauranga, Te Puna and Otumoetai friends will miss her groatlv, and the sympathy qf a wide circle of friends will be extended to Mie relatives' in their great loss. The funeral will leave the Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m, to-morrow. REV. FATHER SKINNER. Word has been received here of the death of the Rev. Father Skinner, which occurred at Wellington. The late Father Skinner served as a chaplain during the Great War and had visited Tauranga on many occasions. By /his .genial manner he gained the firm friendship and esteem of numerous friends. He was keenly interested in all branches of sport. He was a brother of Mr Arthur Skinner, of Ohauiti, who, with other relatives, will have the .sympathy of all friendg in their bereavement.
