Mr E. A. Meredith, Government land valuer, is paying an official visit’ and is staying at the Star Hotel. Guests at the Tauranga. Hotel are Mrs Garley; Miss’ Reading; Messrs Gill, Jenkins,. Leonard and Buxton. Mr W. J, Stevens, left by the express this morning on a business trip io Wellington and Christchurch. Mrs H. Bradmore returned last night from an extended holiday in the South.
Mr J. R. Ktrk, of Wellington, has been re-elected chairman of the Dominion Boy Scout Council.
