LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS WEDNESDAY
Polling Throughout Borough and "County SPIRITED CONTEST FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL. The Borough and County elections and those for the Harbour Board, Hospital Board and Electric-power Board will take place on Wednesday next, the Bth Inst. It should be carefully noted that the polling booths for the borough elections will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., while at the Coronation Hall (for the County elections) and in the County the booths will close at 6 p.m.
For general information we append a list oY the candidates for the various Councils and Boards. Mayor.

’Waimapu Riding.—J. M. Darragh (sitting member), C. S. Moflatt (one seat).
Te Puke Riding.—D. S. B. Heather, C. Lally (sitting member), P. McKenna (two seats). Maketu Riding.—J. N. Blaymires, S. H. MacDougall, G. H. Mends—All returned unopposed. HARBOUR BOARD. Borough.—R. Mann—returned unopposed. Te Puke and Maketu Ridings and Te Puke’' Borough—C. Lally and Colin McNaughton, returned unopposed. Katikati, Te Puna and Waimapu Ridings—H. G. Lever, returned unopposed. one more vacancy to fill. HOSPITAL BOARD. Borough—Miss Gavey, A. F. Tunks (siting member), B. C. Robbins (county Sitting member), L. Norris and A. N. lies (two seats).
