Prince Wilhelm Engaged to Commoner STIR IN GERMANY. Berlin. April 19 German Royalists are distressed over the engagement of Prince Wilhelm, of Prussia, eldest son of the cxCrown Prince, to Dorothea von Salviati, a member of an ancient Italian family, which settled in Prussia in the ISlh century. Tlie Royalists regard Wilhelm as the future Emperor and they are incensed because he has ignored the rule that the Hohenzollerns must marry persons of equal birth. Wilhelm says he considers bis choice consonant with the spirit of the age. A message from Amsterdam cays tlie ex-Kaiser is aggrieved at his favourite grandchild’s engagement to a commoner, Wilhelm thus naving forfeited his rights as possible claimant
