Mr and Mrs F. Tozcr and Miss Tozer, of New Plymouth, are visiting Tauranga. Mr and Mrs R. Wells, of Opotiki, and Mr and Mrs B. Wells, of Auckland, were visitors to Tauranga at Easter, and left for Auckland this morning. Mr R. J. Kerridge, who has been visiting Auckland, passed though Tauranga to-day on his return to Gisborne. Mr and Mrs A. Brewer are spending Easter at Te Awamutu. Mrs Moeller, who' has been spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs H. Clarke, of Te Wairoa, has returned to Auckland. Miss Lundon, formerly mistress of the Papamoa'native school, is spending a, holiday in Tauranga and is staying at Wharepai. Mr G. Stevens, who has been spending a holiday here with relatives, is due to leave Auckland on his return to Sydney by the Niagara to-day. Guests at the Star Hotel during Easter included Mr and Mrs Lanigan, Mr and rfdrs Rainey; Mesdames Anderson, Taylor and Henry; Misses Forbes, Fearon, Denize, Taylor, Mairs (2), Peterson. Mrs E. Anderson and Miss E. W. Anderson, of Wanganui, and Mr A. C. Anderson, of Auckland, are spending a holiday in Tauranga. We regret to record the death of Mr Charles Cuthbert Harward, C.B.E, A.M.1.C.E., which occurred at Wellington on Sunday. The late Mr Harward had resided in Ceylon for many years and took up his residence at Bethlehem, near Tauranga, about seven years ago. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Much sympathy will be extended to Mrs and Miss Harward in their bereavement. New arrivals at Griffiths’ Hotel the Mount include Mr Wood, Mrs Pierce, Mrs Steignt and two daughters, of Cambridge, Mr and Mrs Spence (Gisborne), Mr Jenkins, Miss Sedgwick, Mr and Mrs Martin (Auckland), Mr and Mrs Kelly (Rotcyua). Mr and Mrs Peter Munro, and Mrs F. Norris (Auckland), Mies D. Hall (Rotorua), Mrs Campbell and Miss Molly Campbell (Thames) and Miss Place (Te Puke) were in Tauranga yesterday to attend Miss Joyce Hall’s wedding. Misses Rushbrook (2) and Port, and Mr Preston, of Wellington, Mrs Campbell and Miss Campbell, of Thames, spent the holidays in Tauranga staying at Hotel Roslyn. Mr W. Johnston and his two sons, Trevor ami Victor, visited Tauranga for Easter a.nd joined’ the party which cruised to Mayor Island on the Helen C. They left on their return to Auckland this morning. Mr Johnston is a keen yachtsman and recently donated a set of “Trevic” silver spoons to the Tauranga Yacht and Pow'er Boat Club as prizes for the seven footers.

Mr and Mrs Dick (Pahiatua), Mr and Mrs Terry (Palmerston North), Mr and Mrs F. White, Miss D. Robertson, and Mr Stevens (Wellington), Mr Oeldston (Christchurch), Mr and Mrs Raybourn, Miss L. Raybourn, Mr Raybourn, Mrs Lucas, Mr and Mrs L. Blackmore, Miss E. Shuttleworth, Mr and Mrs Reynolds and party, Mr and Mrs Durey, Mr and Mrs Ritchie, Miss Rattray, Miss McLean, Mr and Mrs Godfrey, Mr and Mrs Brightweil, Messrs Morris, Lawson (2) Waters, L. Court, Stewart Gaily, Gray, Theed (2), Dwell, and Chaney (Auckland).
