VAUDEVILLE

TOWN HALL TO-MOKROW NIGHT,

To-morrow night, at the Town Hall “A Brighter 1933” is to open the short season of vauleville and revue under the direction of Stanley McKay and Paul Warton. Features of the initial production are the delightful song scenas, the magnificent dressing, and the smart comedy sketches. Comedy predominates and Fred Bluett leads with able lieutenants in Wally Reynolds and Syd. Wheeler, English comedians of distinction. An artiste who should make a big appeal to Taurauga thea-tre-goers is Amy Rochelle. Lovers of instrumental music will be charmed with the violin playing of Rene Rich, a young Australian artiste. Variety- is added by the Flying Wartons, whose‘aerial act is a thriller. Prominent in the large company are the Genettes, simultaneous dancers; Peril and Bonzo, comedy acrobats; Adie Collings, soubrette; Robert Raymond, baritone; Cherrie Armstrong, danseuse; Nancy Whitty, platinum blonde; the Superb Six, ballerinas; and the Ten Persian Acrobatic Marvels. The little ones are reminded of the pantomime, “Dick Whittington and His Cat," to be staged on Thursday afternoon at 3.30. Seats may be reserved without extra charge at Stevens Bros.
