The annual 7-footer championship race for the Robinson Cup is to be sailed on the harbour this afternoon.
Cr Sinclair moved at yesterday’s meeting of the Tauranga. County Council —That if rates for the period ended March 31, 1933, are paid by June 30 next the 10 per cent, penalty be not added. —The motion was seconded by Cr Gane and carried.
The public are invited to inspect the new book and stationery shop in Devonport Road, Tauranga, which is under the management of Mr E. Pratt, founder of Pratt and Co., Ltd., and Pratt, Vesty and Co., Ltd. The firm being large buyers for their various shops, are able to give good value ip all lines that make an up-to-date book and stationery business.*
The Chamber of Commerce is calling a special meeting to be held on Tuesday evening at 7.30 in the Borough Council Chambers to consider the question of the weekly half holiday. As this is a very important matter to the business men no doubt .•here will be a large attendance.
