EXPORT OF FRUIT
GUARANTEE TO GROWERS. Wellington, Feh. 22. A question whether - the Government was in a position to indicate what it proposed to do in regard to the guarantee to fruitgrowers this year was askel by Mr K. J. Holyoake (Government—Motueka) in the House yesterday. He said that 45,000 cases of fruit had already been shipped overseas. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. E. Macmillan, said it was proposed to increase the guarantee by 6d a case. It would then be 10s fid for fancy and extra, fancy and 7s for good grades,', in New Zealand currency.
