PERSONAL.

Lieutenant L. R. Wilkinson, left on Saturday afternoon for Rotorua, where he is attending the annual camp of the Sixth Hauraki Regiment. The camp will continue till the 25th foist.

It is understod that strong representations have been made to Mr W. Sullivan, Mayo of Whakatane, to again contest the Mayoralty at the coming municipal elections. ,

Mr and Mrs de Costa, of Gisborne, visited Tauranga at the week-end and stayed at the Star Hotel.

Mr and Mrs Wilson, and Messrs Rae, Langham, Hunt, Norman, Dennes, Hislop, Bellamy, Banks and Moffatt are staying at the Star Hotel.

Mr and Mrs T. C. Cobbold, of Te Aroha, are spending a few days in Tauranga.

Messrs McDougall, Williams, Fairman,. Parlane, and Montgomery are staying at the Tauranga Hotel.

Guests at the Commercial Hotel are Mrs J. O’Connor and Mr Gallagher (Auckland), Miss 'M. Rice (Taumarunui); Messrs Higgs and Wiggs (Wellington), and Messrs Bennett (2),- and Jacobs and Dr, Wills (Hawera). '
