TWINS FEAT RECOGNISED. London, Oct. 12, The Minister for Air (Lord Londonderry), on behalf of the Air Council, in a congratulatory message • to Captain C. F. Captain Cyril Twins, chief" test* pilot for the Bristol Aeroplane.Co:, using a five-year-old machine which had been brought home from China and reconditioned after having lain in flood water in Nanking for some considerable time, made his flightsome weeks ago. He went up, 43,97,6 ft.—over eight miles—beating' the previous record, held in the United States, by 800 ft. The Royal Aero Club supervised the flight, and tested and sealed the barographs which, were contained in the 'plane and ; these were banded to the National Physical Laboratory for examlnatton after Captain Twins had come to earth again.
