INTEREST ON SHARES. ( A resident in a district outride Auckland —who does not wish'his name mentioned—writes as follows; “I had an experience latel/wlthdhe Tauranga Co-operative Dairy Association, and as it was to the credit, of the Association, I would like you'to mention it in your paper. I knew I had about two shares in the'Association, which I was supplykj years ago in Tauranga, and -bob hard up, -1 wrote to the Secretary, mentioning the shares, and aakhtg if they had any values, as in these times every few shilings are acceptable. I received a reply thatrihe company was not redeeming abates, but they sent a cheque twenty-foar shillings, being eight years’ intend on three shares held by me. •1 Ip thought I would he lucky If I ft £l, and I got £1 4s and still Oflt the shares." • •
