JUNGLE FRIENDS

MEET AT TARONGA ZOO. Jungle friends met at Taronga Zoo recently when two recently-im-ported cheetahs, or hunting leopards, were turned into a sunny wire-en-closed yard next to the two young tigers. The tigers were very excited about their new neighbours, and stood on their hind legs, to paw at the dividing wire, coaxingly meowing, like cats. But the nervous cheetahs would not be tempted. The cheetahs, which are very tame, and fine examples of their tribe, should prove an interesting and educative exhibit, for it is the first time a pair has been on show in Sydney.
