The American Dental Association, at its annual convention, sanctioned « plan of advertising. The- nat’onal campaign lias, however, neon held up, but through comm', c-5 the association .will approve tad co-operate with the advertising eiccr'.s of local and i‘eionnl dental socie’hv l . It is the declared object of the campaign to stimulate publicity on the part of dental organisations to instruct the public in modern methods of diet arid care of the teeth. Advertising that is sponsored by professions with an aim to nrotect and serve the public is surely not undesirable and the professions which cared to be concerned with it would surely have every reason to congratulate themselves in performing a public duty on what is proved to be the most effective lines.
