Mr E. C. Fletcher, is spending a holiday in Tauranga and is staylij at the Star Hotel. Mr. Fletcher tecently retired from the position oi manager of the Greymouth .Bmck of the National Bank, and is no* availing himself of the .opportune of seeing various tourist sites aM towns in New Zealand. Mr Fletcher will be here for about a week, It is interesting to note that he case out to New Zealand with the Veaej Stewart special settlement party it the vessel Carisbrooke Castle it 1875. • ’’ Visitors to Tauranga staying atthe Commercial Hotel are Mr and Mb Grainger, of Auckland, and Mr am! Mrs Sellars, of Helensville. Mr J. S Cotterell, who recently aaderwent a successful operation ii the Waikato Hospital at Hamilton, returned to Tauranga yesterday. Mr Cotterell is, we are gladto say, making steady progress towards complete recovery. Visitors staying at the Tauranp Hotel are Mr and Mrs F. Palmer, Mr and Mrs Beaims, and Messrs Aicklt, Saker and Wakeford (Auckland), and Messrs H. Moore‘a# 4 Dwyer. (Waikato). Mr Thomas Fletcher, Inspector o! Native Schools, is paying an official visit to the native schools in this district, and is staying at the X** ranga Hotel. Mr Fletcher is a member of the Management Committee rt the New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr L. M. Estcourt, orchard instructor, and Mr Melton, of the Department of Agriculture, Hamilton, art staying at the Masonic Hotel. Guests staying at Hotel Body* are: Major McKerrow (England), Mr and Mrs Archenhold (Chrlftchuch), Rev. Isaac and Mrs Jdlf (Dunedin), Mrs Pilgrim (Auckland), Miss Poulton (Hawke’s Bay), »» 4 Miss Prior (Tauranga). . j
