VC( TDENT. While loading pigs at the Te Puke railway station. Mr Murray Stewart had the misfortune to break his sec. omi toe. Some of the pigs were being driven up a race and one turned suddenly and trod on his foot. IiOWUNG. At the Howling Club's meeting held last (tight it was decided to hold the ollieial opening on October Jl. This date, unfortunately. clashes with Tanranga, hut as the croquet ladies have made arrangements the Te Puke (Tub has to carry on and open on that date. The Howling Club has taken over the t.'etilral Tennis t’ourt. They are having it re-tarred and new netting erected. It is hoped to have it ready for opening. PERSONAE. .Mr W. K. Hookey. Mr A. Jamieson and .Mi V. Uayliss motored to Auckland lari night for the week-end.
Mr N. Hr. ami and Mr C. land left Te Pnke this morning by car for Paine iston North.
