THAMES BOROUGH'S POSITION. Thames. Oct. Hi The Thames Borough Council met on Wednesday evening. Nothing relating to outstanding payments of interest due to debenture-holders was discussed in open council, hut in the repori of the finance; committee the following appeared: “That the following reply he given to imiuiries by debenture-holders with regard to the payment of (mistanding interest: That the borough is a present in negotiation with (he (lovorume.ul for assistance ami is awaiting the final result of such negotiations.
