DOUBLE RESCUE.

TWO UNKNOWN' HEROES. In a desperate effort to save her child from drowning at Dover a mother herself got into difficulties and was rescued in the nick of time by' two unknown men who left without revealing their identity. The child, whom the men also saved was Nigel Macassey, the 10-year-old son of the Rev. E. L. Macasspy, vicar of St. Andrew’s Stoke Newington. He got out of his depth while bathing, and his mother, seeing bis plight plunged in to save him. Before Mrs Macassey could reach her son he disappeared, and Mrs Macassey herself was drowning when the two unknown men dashed in and saved them both. The boy quickly revived, and Mrs Macassey, who was unconscious when got out of the water later recovered.

Mr Macassey who was informed of the rescue by telephone, expressed anxiety to trace the two unknown heroes so that he may express to them his "feeling of deep gratitude.”
