Whangarei, July 13. Albert McAskie, aged 09 years, bvmg in a whare on the gumfield at Poroti, became subect to a sudden seizure and fell into the fire. His dog. a half-bred retriever, dragged him from the flames, saving him from inevitable death. Though terribly burned. McAskie was able to summon helm and was conveyed to the Whangarei Hospital.
