Aid of Commonwealth Institution. ABSORPTION PLAN. Sydney, July 10 Under the draft agreement for the absorption of the Government Savings Bank of New South Wales, it is understood that the Commonwealth Bank is prepared to take over current accounts and fixed deposits, but will ration depositors in the State Rank for a brief period thereafter. The Commonwealth Bank is unwilling to take over the debit side of the rural bank or advances by the Home Department, which the State Savings Bank commissioners will carry on. Only a certain percentage of the State Bank employees, who number 17(50. will be transferred to (he Commonwealth Bank.
