WOOL STOCKS.
NBV ZEALAND FIGURES. Latest figures supplied by the Wool Brokers’ Association show that tho quantity of wool actually in brokers’ stores, plus the quarttity estimated to be still held by the growers as at August 31, totals 123,000 bales. There is a big gap between these figures and those supplied in tr ©Abstract of Statitics, which, however, give the total supplies of wool held on' June 30, in various forms not covered by brokers’ returns, such as freezing works, wool scouring works, shipping companies, Harbour Board stores, and New Zealand Railways. The grand total thus obtained was 75,396,6361 b., approximately 244,000 bales. The interval between the two dates of stocktaking will, of course, account !of part of the difference,
