ALLEGED LIBEL.
W. M. HUGHES CLAIMS £IO,OOO. Sydney, Sept. 11 A writ claiming £IO,OOO damages for alleged libel has been Issued by Mr \V. M. Hughes, former Prime Minister of Australia, against the "Sydney Morning Herald.” The claim arises out of an editorial article published on September S which Mr Hughes contends accused him of "encouraging rebellious spirits who advocate debt repudiation.”
