I Wellington, Feb. 7 The call for volunteers for special I military police for Samoa brought ; I prompt response in Wellington yesjterday. “We can fill anv demand the Defence Department is likely to make, ami the response is eager and acle'fiuate,'’ said the Commissioner of 'Police, Mr Mcllveimy. "We have arranged a quota for (he four cities, and I have been deluged with telegrams from all over the country. Auckland, Feb. 7 At noon to-day one hundred men had volunteered at Auckland for service with the Samoan police.
