Mexico City, Feb. 5 Pascual Ortiz Kubio was wounded in the jaw by a would-be assassin who fired on him a few hours after he had been sworn in on Wednesday as President of Mexico. The bullet was extracted and the patient’s condition is not serious. Six shots were fired at the President’s wife. One grazed her little niece, Opelia Ortega, who was slightly wounded. A bystander was hit by another shot. The assailant was arrested.
