A Press Association message from 1 Blenheim, states that the Hon Mr Atmore, Minister of Education, re- , ceived a civic reception at Blenheim ■ last night. (Cantab), at present medical superintendent of Baldutha Hospital, who has been appointed medical superintendent of the Napier Hospital, in succession to Dr J. Alan Berry, resigned, was trained at the University College Hospital, London, f and saw service with the Royal Army Medical Corps in France, being wounded while in charge of a field ambulance unit. Mr J. M. Curtis, manager of the Whakatane branch of the Bank of Australia has left on a six weeks visit to Australia. Messrs W. Turner and C. Haua, leave bv train to-morrow afternoon for Wellington, and will participate in the Wellington Regatta on Saturday next. They will then proceed to Picton and wall both compete on the 15th. inst., in the championship single sculls and championship double sculls. Mr E. Johnson, who tomes from the Hamilton district, has taken up his residence in.Tauranga, and has entered the service of Mr E. 1Baker as representative for the A.M.P.
