WESTFIELD MARKET.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile report:—To-day at Westfield beef cattle was penned in a higher number, cows and heifers predominating There Was little or no alteration in values. Extra choice ox sold to 42s per 1001 b. choice and prime 39s to 41s, secondary and plain ox 36s to 38s, prime young cow and heifer beef 37s to 395, secondary Js4s to 3 6s. Heavy prime steers ranged in price from £ls to £l6, lighter £l3 15s to £l4 17/6. light £l2 to £l3 12/6, unfinished and small £lO 10s to £ll 17/6. . Extra heavy prime cows and heifers £lO 15s to £l2, heavy £9 to £lO 10s, lighter £8 to £8 17/6, light £6 10s to £7 15s, other cows £5 upwards.
