OPERA HOUSE. A specially selected double star programme will be screened this and to-morrow evening at the Opera House, the first big feature being “Powder My Back,” a. fast moving picture filled with laugh provoking situations and complications which lead tot romance. Irene Rich plays the part of Fritzi Loy, a musical comedy queen, whose show has been closed by an ambitious rgfoiim mayor on account of its nudity. Aided by her publicity fan Fritzi plans her revenge. An auto accident duly takes place outside the Mayor’s residence and Fritzi is carried into her enemies house under the insistence of his son Jock who at once, falls in love with her. The method she employs to restore him to his fiancee and the way in which she wins over hi s father, makes a. most entertaining picture. Circumstantial evidence plays a big part in the forceful drama “Out of the Storm” starring beautiful Jacqueline Logan and Montagu© Love. The story deals with a young couple who are trying to live in peace and 1 happiness after a’ stormy courtship and marriage. Through a chain of circumstances they both become involved in a shooting affray, that ends tragically for one and nearly sends the young husband to his doom. The element of sue pense is held admirably right up to the last moment, when the pew in the shadow of the electric chair L saved by the girl who has just learned that her husband is accused of which she was the innocent cause. A good comedy Aseop fable and Pathb Gazette complete the programme.
