PRESENTATION

TO MR D. H. L. CORRIGAN,

As previously announced Mr D. H, L. Corrigan, who has been manager of the local branch of the Bank of New Zealand for the past ten years, is retiring after thirtyeight years’ bank service. On Wednesday last, the staff met Mr Corrigan at Mr G. F. Pott’s residence, where afternoon tea was dispensed by Mrs Pott. Later, Mr Pott, accountant of the local branch, referred to Mr Corrigan’s long and faithful association with the Bank, and made mention of the happy and cordial relations which bad always existed between the staff and Mr Corrigan. In wishing Mr .Corrigan the best of health, they hoped that he would be spared for many years to enjoy tin- well-earned relief from active duties. On behalf of the staff he then asked Mr Corrigan to accept a case of pipes as a tangible expression of esteem. Mr Corrigan, in responding, thanked Mr Pott and the staff for their kindly references and for the gift which he said would always serve to remind him of his happy association with his colleagues in the branch at Tauranga.
