For the presentation and trooping of Colours of the Hauraki Regiment in February at Paeroa, a flight of New Zealand Air Force aeroplanes will be present.

The proposal was initiated by the farmers about Waihi and the canvass has been conducted by some of our leading settlers.

At a meeting of retailers at Te. Awamutu ■ on Tuesday morning to discuss the half-holiday question and the suggestion that the Government intended to, introduce legislation to make a ’ universal Saturday .. half holiday throughout the Dominion, a resolution wa s carried in favour of continuing the present system of local option. A copy of thc resolution is to be sent to Mr W. J. Broadfoot, M.P., so that he may know the feeling of To Awamutu retailers.
