QUEENSLAND FLOODS
RIVER BRIDGES SUBMERGED. Brisbane, Jan Mi It is feared that 1 1 1 c_ floods in the north have claimed one victim, a youth named FairweathdG who lett Abercorn three days ago to take food to his father, who was working in in the bush. He has not been seen since then, and it is feared he lias been drowned. At Bundaberg the water is covering the wharves to a depth of 9it., and has entered many houses. The river bridges have been submerged at Proserpine, where an exceptionally severe flood is feared. The Weather Bureau has issued a warning that a cyclone is developing between Cardwell, 950 miles northwest of Brisbane, Willis Island and Bowen.
