The linal of the amateur golf championship of Australia was responsible for a groat struggle between Sinclair and Russell, the former eventually heating the Victorian champion—two up, one to play. A spectacular incident of the match was when, Sinclair was driving a hall in mid-air, it struck and brought down a lark, but luckily his drive was not affected.

Moss, of Auckland, won the professional. golf championship, treating McIntosh (Hutt) .5 and 3. The latter outdrove (Moss at times, in it made some had mistakes. Tn the amateur rounds (loss beat LusJc 2 and 1, neither playing well. In, the other match between Quin ami Munson play was even worse and far below what should be expected in a semi-final. The former won, 3 and 2, and now meets Goss in the final.
