At the Magistrate's Court yesterday bi‘f( re Col. G. A. VS anl and Mr 1C C- Bobbins. J.P's.. Mr C. N• Clark (borcugh inspector) proceeded against the fcdlowing : C. C. Dinsdale, for failinLt to provide identification plates on his motor lorrv. The onlv idemificat ion mark being visible was a number dirniv painted on the engine. Mr A. Tudhope appeared f< r Hie defendant and entered a plea of guilty. Tl l e inspector, in giving the facts of the case to- the Bench, stated that on account cf local mot crisis driving their vehicles with" insufficient indent ificat ion plates, and some with tic plates a.t all, oases were now being 'brought before the Bench as examples, as warning, had nc effect. Fmtlier, motorists, in registering at the registry office, wore notified that thev must fix an identification plate both at the front and rear of their motor veldclc* In this case the defendant was driving Ids lorry with another man's number painted on the vehicle. Tire defendant was fined ,£l and CCSIS 7/Cf. L.yev was arraigned c n a somewhat similar charge no plate in from cf car, a plate at the rear with, the numbi-r of another motorist.
