The- game was fast and spectacular. In the first half the hig AVairoa. forwards completely ran over the visitors, scoring 31 to 9. Hawke’s Bay got going better in tho next sped, but could not overtake the big lead.
LOCAL MATCHES. The football match Cadets v Motiti, will commence at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow on the High School reserve.. A junior team from Karangaliake will visit Tauranga on Saturday. ‘JOlli inst.. to play a match against cue of the local junior teams. The Motiti senior football team will visit Tauranga to-merrow and play a mareh against the Cadets Old Boys- Tlic Rugby Union has decided to devote the proceeds of the game to the fund which is being raised for the widow anil family of I lie late R. J. Dalziell, who succumbed to injuries received at football at Rotorua recently and rile support of the public is earnestly sought to this end.
