A correspondent with the Kiangsu army Isays undoubtedly General Chi (Governor of Kiang.su), is determined to break through at Hwangtu where there is a biggei concentration of Kiang.su troops than anywhere else on the whole front and to which reinforcements are constantly being sent. Tho Chekiang forces, under General bu, although always facing odds, occupy an easily defensive position between two creeks westwards and eastwards of tho railway station. Tho fiercest fighting on tho whole iront lias taken place in this sector where the Kiangsu forces so far have suffered at least two thousand casualties. The Kiangsu troops twice captured the station hut each time it was retaken.
