The pageant master, Mr .Prank Lascellos wa< entertained tu a, banquet by a committee, of pageant performers chiefly Australians and New Zealanders. Prince Arthur of Connaught presided. He described the pageant as worthy of the Empire. He referred to the achievements of Mr Lascelles in Canada. South Africa- and India. He pajd a tribute to the To.ooo voluntary performers, who braved the rigours of a British summer. Air Lascelles emphasised .the educational value of the pageant and its stimulating interest in Kmpire neu> communication.
