His firm constructed th<\ most of t.he iron lighthouses on the New Zealand coasts. There passed away at Opotiki lat week an old resident of that district in the. person of Mr 8. P. Moody, eldest, son of the late Mr Samuel Moody and brother of the Mayor of tipotiki. In his younger days Mr Moody was one who took a keen interest in sport, and his colours were carried to victory many times on the racecourse, his successes including many at Tallinn ga. Of recent -years he had been in failing health He leaves a widow and a son and Slaughter to mourn their loss.
