A quarter-cast aboriginal named Ryan called on a married wcman, Grace 1 Flint, who was living at Ccwral apart from her husband. After a breif altercation Ryan fired t]iroc- revolver shots, hitting her in the throat, chest and head. A man named Flynn, wha attempted to disarm Ryan, was wounded in the shoulder and thigh, though not seriously, Both were taken to hospital, where Mrs Flint’s condition is serious. The police later found Ryan’s body with a bullet in the temple.
