A drop of £101,355 in the totb speculation is shown by the return' of the 1923-24 racing and trotting season in Auckland. Nearly two and a-half million pounds passed through the machines, viz., £2.451, 281 compared with £2.554,637 of last season’s racing which showed a decrease of ”£106,429. The trotting investments increased by £5073.
