THE JEWETT CAR

(Published by Arrangement.) An exhibit at the Katikati Show on Thursday that called for mors than passing interest was- the Jewett tcuring ear, exhibited by Messrs Guinness Bros., of Tauranga. i’his car, with; its sturdy six cylinder, 50 horse-pewer motor, rugged and substantially constructed chassis, and specially designed and built Timken rear axle, is capable of most -biH's in, high gear, as witness the fact that the trip to- the: shew was covered in ‘high” all the way, and no effort was needed in passing all other cars on the road. Apart from its sturdiness in design and contraction, the Jewett is handsome in appearance, comfortable to ride in, having 54 inch rear springs, real leather upholstery, and every conceivable real improvement designed for good cars in recant years. From the fact that 20{) Jewetts were sold in New Zealand within six-months cf its introduction, stamps it as the most sensational selling “six” of the year. Other l epithets that proud owners supply to their cars are “the master cf the- highway,” “the speediest and most sensational car of the year,” “the most amazing value -for-money car that! New Zealand has ever known.” The louring model as exhibited, sells for £450 and Messrs Guinness, the local agents, will be pleased to demontrate it to anyone at all interested.
