The Prince Rege/it Hirohito narrowly escaped death, from an assailant's bullet while he was motoring to thsi Diet building to address Parliament. Hirohito 1 was unhurt, but Viscount Live, who was accompanying him, \va s injured by glass from the shattered windows. The police arested Dissukei Namba aged twenty-four years, with three 1 accomplices. Namba is the son of a Senator and is believed to be a dangerous' Radical. During his University days he led a Socialist group. Later he worked in factories in South Japan, where he organised extremist Labour movements, ~ 1
