Analyst’s Report. Herne Bay, Auckland. May llth, 1923. I HEREBY CERTIFY as follows : On April 30th, 1923, I visited Mr A. A. Corban’s Mt. I subsequently analysed them and found all the wines to he pure, fermented Grape Wince, of exceptional quality and flavour. It is difficult to recommend any particular one; they arc all first-class wines. For invalid uses, the Invalid Port, Sherry, and Special Reserve Port are particularly suitable. All the wines are well matured and free from harmful substances. Corban’. Hundreds have been, induced to buy this stuff, and have found to their sorrow that it is r.o more like real wine than chalk is like cheese. It is absolutely undrinKable in most cases, and many who have been “taken in ” with it nave sworn off New Zealand Wines altogether. Mr Corban is continually receiving letters from disgusted purchasei-s of faked New Zealand wines. Only the other day a letter was received from a man asking for a guarantee that Corban’s Wines were genuire grape wines because he said he had bought a case of some awful stun branded New Zealand Wines which he had to throw down the sink. Needless to say this man is now enthusiastic about Corban's Wines. The invasion of adulterated wine on this market threatens the entiije New Zealand winemaking industry, and incidentally affects Mr Corban s business. He therefore guarantees to prove to the public that New Zealand can and does produce pure grape wines that are equal to the world s finest productions, CORBAN’S WiNES ARE PURE FERMENTED GRAPE WINES. The grapes are grown in the “Mt. Lebanon” Vineyards, at Henderson, Auckland, ‘ ‘Mt Lebanon” did not spring up in a night: it has taken Mr Corban over 20 years of hard toil to develop his vineyard into its present state of perfection. “Mt. Lebanon” is claimed by experts from all parlts of the world to be the finest and healthiest vineyard in New Zealand. “Mt. Lebanon” Vineyards are Corban’s sole source of grape supply. The wines are skilfully made from the choicest grapes, thoroughly matured and aged for years in the wood. Corban’s will not sell wines that are und<T three years old. . . Proof of the quality and purity of Corban's Wines is revealed, firstly in the Analyst’s report (published alongside), secondly in the Piles** testimonials on file (a few of which are reproduced herewith), and thirdly in the steady growth of the demand for Corban’s Wines. Order Corban’s pure Grape Wines and you are safe, Corban’s wims are a credit to the country. (Signed) ALF. J. PARKER. F.S.C., Public Analyist for Auckland.
