Atkinson) deals with the hawks and owls, the predominating usefulness of these species being well brought out. G. M. Valentine treats lucidly the subject of overrun in butter-making, which recent legislation, has made a very live matter in the dairy industry. A lengthy list of “C.0.R.” cows is printed,- together with special notes by \V. M. Singleton on new class leaders in the Jersey and Ayrshire breeds. A ready-reckoner for weight of field crops per acre, complied by C. H. Schwass, should prove very useful for experimenters and others.
