The Ruapehu, which arrived at Auckland on Monday from Southampton, brought 270 immigrants, the bulk of whom are for Auckland and Wellington. The vessel left Southampton on November 6, and with the exception of the first two days fine weather conditions were encountered throughout the voyage.

The retail prices are unchanged, but the market is quiet, and lower prices are anticipated after the holidays. The cheese market is also quiet, with white selling at 1083, and coloured at nos.
