ALPINE TRAGEDY RECALLED'
v ?er Press Association) Timaru, Dec. 20
The ’discovery of a portion of a human fool three-quarters of a mile below the Hochstettor ice fall, Mount Cook, recalls a tragedy early in 1914, whereby Mr King, of the Alpine Club, England, and Guides Thompson and Richmond, lost their lives- in an avalanche at an altitude of eight thouand feet. The remains were apparently moved about three miles from the scene of the accident.
