COUNTY ROADS.

(To the Editor) Sir, -I have read with interest Mr C. E. Macmillan's letter re roads, and particularly enjoyed remembering the part Caesar played in history. We are now approaching the throes of another county election, there are quite a number oi candidates, lull what tue their ultimate i)(i they intend to emulate Caesars’ mad-making exploits, or leave us in lire muddy depths the slough of despond weal present endured!! Will those gentlemen who have practical views on the important subjects of road-making and the conduct of county allairs generally address the electors beforehand? I am, etc. W. H. POOLE. Crecrton, April 27, 1923.
