Mr M. D. Meares, who is estab lishing a pedigree Jersey herd at Te Puna, has just purchased the young bull Cosgrave Fox’s Boy (Ethelynm Maitland Fox’s Venus). Tins bull was b;ed by Mr G. B. Sutton, the wHI known Jersey fancier of Paengaroa Junction. The bull has a strong butter fat record on both sides of his pedigree and is very rich in the great Majesty Fox’s blood. Mr Meares has also recently bought several pedigree cows, and has put one of them under Government official test. The location of Cosgravc’s Fox’s Boy in this district should make for the improvement of the dairy stock of Tc Puna.

Mr Clement Wragve, the celebrated scientist and astronomer will deliver a lecture in the Town Hall on Monday next on “The Grandeur of the Univesse ” He will also speak of the seasons, the Taupo earthquikes, the recently discovered eruptions in the moon, and other subjects Scientific photographs will also be screened.
