COURSE IN AGRICULTURE

The Auckland Education Board decided on \\ ednesday to ask the Departments approval id a scheme to hold a summer school of instruction h r instructor:-, in agriculture. At the proposed school the Board’s instructor in agriculture will he in attendance, also the Department of Agriculture inst.ructoi and special agricultural teachers in secondary schools.. This is the fust occasion on which such a scheme has been advanced, and, as ih was pointed out to Die Education Hoard, such a course would give a greater impetus to the agricultural progress of the Dominion. In Great Britain, Denmark, Canada, and flic United States these eoiiises are made a feature of by the agricultural colleges. If was suggested that.
