OBITUARY
■MR T. R. BANNER
We regret to record the death of Mr T. B Tanner, which occurred at Rotorua this morning. Deceased was well known in Tauranga where lie occupied the position of headmaster of the iocal district high school tor manv years. He was born at Bandon, County Cork, Ireland, and was educated at the Grammar School, Cork, and Trinity Col lege, Dublin. He came out to Now Zealand about forty years ago and immediately joined the service of the Auckland Education Board- with which he was dissociated until ill-health compelled him to relinquish his duties about three months ago. Amongst other appointments that the late Mr Tanner had filled wers the positions of headmaster at the Coromandel, Rotorua and iaumenuuii school'. Ihe sympathy of a wide circle of friends will go out to Mrs Tanner and family of two sons and two daughters in their bereavement. I.he two sons, Messrs Harold and Ihornas Tanner, arc in the civil service at Wellington.
