AMBASSADOR TO U. ( STATES RECOGNISED | Rec April 20, morning. jj Washington, April 18. Mr Hughes (Secretary of State) has announced that the United States recognises Boris Bakhmetiff, who was appointed by the Kerensky Government as the Russian Ambassador, and that he will not be required to respond to process, thus crushing the Senate Labour Committee’s attempt to subpoena Bakhmetiff to testify at a hearing of ihe charges against General Seminoff.
