TAURANGA DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB
The first of two shoots for the Mayfield Challenge Cup was fired on Thursday last, rifleman Harold Oliver, the present holder, coming out on top with the good 'score of 96, closely followed by rifleman Mirrielees . 93,, and rifleman Poole 90. Several others are within striking distance so that a keen contest is assured. The competition is fired under service conditions. The following were the scores : —, 300 500 Total R man Hd. A handicap for trophy* was fired simultaneously with the Cup shoot, and won by Rifleman Harold Oliver.
