LOCAL BODIES OFFICERS
CONFERENCE IN WELLINGTON (Per Press Association. 1 Wellington, Feb 10 A Dominion con fere me ot officers of local bodies, comprising clerks, engineers, secretaries, etc., of boroughs, counties, harbour and hospital boards, ami town and road boards is being held hereto consider the formation of a Local Bxlics Officers Association or Guild Mr Skogkind (town clerk, Stratford) is chairman. The meeting was addressed by the Chairman and Mr Mourant (Secretary of the Bank Officers Guild). A letter was read from the Minister of Interna! Affairs, expressing approval of the formation of the association, and stating that any suggestions that might require legislation would receive very careful consideration.
